about

‚Problems of Knowledge’ is a full album split up in two parts. Based on Michael Williams’ textbook on epistemology. This first part aims towards the edge between techno and a more ‚idm’ (a dubious term but let’s stick with it) related output.

Roebin de Freitas succeeds in creating a dystopian feeling with broken beats and a rather melancholic sound design. ‘Brain in Vat’ introduces the Ep by arranging noisy elements around an up and down going soundscape. The final part of the track goes pretty wild. Ye be warned.
The feeling gets more wizardly by listening to ‘Gettier/Justified True Belief ‘and opens the way for a peak time banger with ‘Thought Experiment’.
As the sounds in ‘Prior Grounding Requirement’ are getting more dull, you will get a more energetic and dramatic feel to it.
The dramatic sound of the final piece ‘Agrippa’s Trilemma’ underlines perfectly the meaning of this skeptical way of thinking.
